funny story that ended good

so i have been having issues with my transmission since when i bought the car (bought the car used about a year ago). i recently took to it to repair shop since the warranty for the transmission was going to end that month. i get it back from the shop and they said "we realigned the transmission housing tunnel that lines the transmission up with the engine" i was ok it sounds likes BS but oh well. after driving it around for a couple of days it felt better but it still didn't feel smooth and it was still having the issue i sent it in for which was 3,4,5, and 6 gear wouldn't go into gear all the time. it would just stop right before it would go into gear and it felt like something was blocking it.

lucky i had ordered a syncro saver from RR and it came in last night. so as im installing the syncro saver i notice that the front left bolt head had broken off and was rattling around the shift tunnel which was blocking the shifter from fully engaging the gear.

now the car shifts better than ever.

Don't you love it when it's something simple and you found it but the shop couldn't? Glad it worked out for ya.

No. It probably means you wasted money on labor.

Glad you found the problem that the shop never even saw it.

Sorry about that last reply. But yea I paid like 80 something for labor. I think this was also causing my marbles in a can rattle that a lot of people talk about on this forum. I use the have the issue but now I don't and I'm sure it was from that bolt head rattling around down there
