Funny story.... Debadged
i got my car debadged a while back, and i also got my viper alarm installed, anyways while in school (CSULA) i was apparently parked in a reserve spot (even though there was no posted sign, and not going to fight it because its more work than it's worth) and the officer put the model of the car as "Viper" haha
anyways im planning on removing every single mazda badge, so is it possible to replace or remove the mazda badge on the steering wheel? and maybe replace it with the rotary symbol? similar to the rotary center caps?

^ that is correct....however the officer will prevail if the license plate was noted correctly and it matches the description of the car, IE color and number of doors etc. worth a try.....good luck let us know if you win on that defense.
I only made mention of it because I found it was funny. However, I think his question is more directed at the debadging of the entire car. I've seen pictures of the steering wheel, where the center piece is taken off. I'd assume it's glued on, so it's more than likely you can take it off. Just would leave a mark.

With a few tickets under my belt back in the day at College for parking, I decided not to give the Yellow ****'s (which is what we referred to the parking police there with their uniform) any more commission for silly fines and stopped paying all together. They won't let you officially grad without paying it off if on record. Funny considering I know at least 2 were but they never surfaced nor never heard from them again while getting my BS and MS over a 7 year period.
I wouldn't recommend the route I went although it turned out fine; nonetheless I feel your pain.

Does anyone have pics of their 8 which has replacement badges? Debadging is what I want to do, but the cost to fill in and paint the holes is too much. I was thinking there must be replacement badges, right? All that I've found which isn't an ad for a vendor is the blacked out palladium colored mazda badges. Anyone have a pic of one of those on a silver 8?
hell yea, i love the on ramps on the freeway, redline in 2nd, sometimes redline in 3rd if theres hardly any traffic, AWESOME!!!
anyways, does anyone know if the badge on the steering wheel is glued on? id like to take it off
and in regards to debadging, just get plastic rivets from lowes and paint them, and then glue them on... mine are just temporary because i am going the Mazdaspeed route and my front bumper is a rock chip haven so i dont really care, but the trunk will eventually be filled and painted.
