Question flooding part 2

Thanks to everyone who reply to my first question about flooding. ....now this is the problem I went to buy a 08 Gt with 15000 miles for $18000 it looks great but my real question is how or is their a way to tell if the engine ever flood before I. Don't want to hit problems because the owner didn't take care of it the right way thank everyone

If it was flooded and brought to the dealer it should show up in their records and CAR FAX get the Vin#. Don't worry about it you have years and years of warranty left.

06+ barely flood at all..... you really have to try extremely hard to flood the engine. Flooding really is only a problem with the 04-05's even then its still a little tough to flood. I've done it once just by moving the car in the drive way without warming it up. I have the older starter/battery. With the upgraded starter/battery which is in every 06+ you should never run into a flooding issue if you take care of your car correctly.

Even if the engine did flood what might that affect? The cat/02 sensors/spark plugs? For a used car, I'd be more concerned about a host of other issues - specifically the trans/clutch condition.

Definitely look at the car fax.

Question about Engine flooding... 2 days ago my dad drives my car a few feet and then turns it off! This incident took place early in the morning and the temperature was around below 50. I Immediately thought to myself that my engine was definitely flooded. I tried starting it after a few hours. And it started fine. And was performing well ever since. Is there any problems/damage I should be concerned about? Peace.

Just try not to do that... It's just running the risk of flooding and that's never fun
