flip key??

ok my main key and spare key are both the same...the switchblade style. Anyways unlike the VW,BMW,ect style of this key, Mazda doesnt have a place to fit another key ring. Has anyone found something that would fit on it? I find it hard to keep up with my keys because of this.

What do you mean?
I have the switchblade style ('05), and there's a small "slot" at the bottom (the end opposite where the key flips out). Thru that slot I've threaded one of those plain little, round key rings (you know the kind, it's a little circle—about 1/2" diameter)—and attach other keys to that.

ive tried that with what i thought were small key rings guess i just need to find a smaller ring....the one i have is about 3 mm in diameter and it doesnt really stay there very well...ill just keep hunting for a smaller one.

but what i was talking about vw and bmw have an external loopy thing to put one in....much easier.

its not even a big deal...just wondering

does your key come apart alot? mine does like if i drop, on my desk it falls apart...eh i have a feeling they are gonna be pricey to replace

Why don't you just take your car key with you and leave your other keys in the car? Do you need all those keys with you at all times?

the dealer gave me a small ring that fitted in there and i used it to only attach my rotary keychain.

all my other keys are either at home or in the car. i don't feel like weighing down the ignition. haha

My Advanced Key has a strong thread tether through a little slot that goes to an external key ring. You could probably scrounge one of those. It looks kind of like how the strap mounts on a typical point-and-shoot camera. It works fine, but I only keep my house key on it. My office keys are card based and my other car keys go on separate rings.
