Call MNAO and find out (or if you know the dealer where it was serviced, call there), have your VIN ready...

Here is a list of service bulletins for the RX8. This list includes all the recalls.

The Thermal Damage Recall is required to be done and it also must be done at no charge. Part of the recall is to update the PCM to the latest flash level. So instead of asking for the latest flash, just ask them to check if the the Thermal Damage Recall has been done (which they can do through their computer system by VIN), and if not, to do it.

We just took our 05 in to the dealer for the first time for the heat recall and they did a new flash. The tech let us watch the monitor while he did the flash and he pointed out an "E" in the flash sequence. I guess that meant we got an E upgrade. For all its worth I don't notice any driving difference and the fuel economy is also the same, 17 city / 21 highway.

no the letter after the E is the flash level you got R or S depending on if you have an MT or an AT.
