Finally got my Beast!
Well yesterday i took delivery of my 2003 RX8. Apart from squeeky brakes and eratic idle (which is annoying, but I think it can be fixed with PCM update) everything seems fine. Below are details and some pics.
2003 jpd spec Type S. 6 speed 250hp, Titanium Silver, grey cloth.
Full body kit, front mud guards, navigation and TV which are in Japanese and dont work in Cyprus, MP3 with MD.
Getting this week installed an alarm and next week im getting the dvd navigation taken out and getting a DVD player installed.

the US uses SAE Net correct? (not sure) other countries don't abide by the same rating procedures as the states.

Thanks everyone, now I can understand what everyone was raving about. Its a fantastic car to drive fast and very smooth, although I have to admit that i am getting some tyre noise from the potenzas, because our roads here in Cyprus are a little corse, howerver once they wear out, I will opt for some softer tyres.
Do you know if the rough idle can be fixed with a pcm update? Or if I put higher octane petrol in the car it will improve the idle?
BTW the jap spec RX8s can be found here:

If it's a vibration at idle I've seen a previous mention of having the motor mounts checked for cracking. Maybe it was babied too much, many believe that driving it hard for a while - keeping the rpms high longer than just a few seconds - will help clean out the chambers and help it run smoother.
