Increasing Headroom?
Anyone have any ideas for increasing headroom on a 05 RX8 with Sunroof.
Lowering seat?
Replacng seat cushion with a thiner one?
I am 6' 1". I bought my car a couple of months ago and love it, but still not use to hair on headliner feel. Yes, I can lean the seat back, but then my upper back is not supported. Will the seat compact a bit over time?? The non-sunroof model fit me perfectly, but I wanted the leather and heated seats. I only need to find 1/2 to 3/4 of inch.

i know what you mean, im 6'1 as well -- and wanted the badass GT model, i just lean the seat back a litle bit not much else you can do unless you want to start ripping out the seat warmers and chair motoros lol sorry man, if its just rubbing your hair, no big deal I guess? beacuse chicks will see your sunroof and leather and want to jump on your crotch

Maybe I just sit more reclined, but I'm 6'2 and my head doesn't even come close to the roof, and I've got an '05 with heated leather and sunroof. Are you sure you have the seat as low as possible?

A telescopic steering wheel and foot pedal adjustment/extenders would be nice . Of course this is a Mazda and they probably were not thinking of all the tall RX8 customers when it was on the designing table.

Shaved head works for me.
But, I'm 6'3" myself, and have little trouble. You just have to recline a bit. While it probably feels like you're doing a ghetto lean, you aren't. Also, be sure you properly adjust the lumbar support. It makes a WORLD of difference. And, I adjust my seat cushion so the front is all the way up, and the back is all the way down. Feels more secure, if nothing else.

Height isn't as much an issue as torso length. Some tall people have really long legs and a shorter torso- others are just reverse.
I'm 6'2 and I normally drive a bit slouched, even in cars where I have plenty of head room. If I sit up straight in my RX-8, with my butt all the way back against the seat, my head is touching the ceiling (I have a GT). When I need to stretch while driving I just do that- but lean a bit to the right and use the extra space available under the sunroof glass. :-) Then I go back to my slouching.
Something about my posture in the car isn't sitting well with my lower back though- I'm kind of on the same quest as you are. I was thinking about looking into some sort of car seat back support, maybe I can find something for good back support while "slouching".
