BlueEyes loves his rx8 and dosnt hate on other cars, hes one of the few unbaised voices on this forum who tell it like it is.

don't mind BlueEyes guys, he means well, i just think he's one of those guys that have been online for so long at such long periods of times that he just has to say some smart remarks to everyone at least once. just filter out the smart *** remarks and you'll find that he makes sense most of the time, not always, but more then not. thats what i get from reading his posts. i have a friend like that in real life so i can easily filter out cuz i'm used to it. so lets all play nice now.

Funny thing is, people love to label me a troll or a hater, but I like the RX-8 quite a bit, I've made that clear many times. I've also challenged many people like 90219037 to show me where I've once bashed or "hated on" the 8, they never come up with anything. So go for it big guy, show me what you can come up with. I'm sorry I pointed out that there are a lot of cars as fast or close to as fast as the 8, which clearly bothers you. That's your problem that you can't come to terms with the truth, not mine...

Ike I dont think I have ever made a comment on the things you say but that last part was. Well ->

 

Ok Ike, against my better judgement, you reeled me in. Here’s where I have problems with your “truth”.

First, its your use of the word “fast”, as in your assertion that “there are plenty of family sedans and small SUVs that are faster or about as fast as an RX8.” Meanwhile, you only refer to straight line speed, while most reasonable enthusiasts define fast as the whole package, i.e. the Car & Driver example that I referred to that saw an 8 keep up with a 390HP SVT Cobra on a race track. Maybe its your limited vocabulary, but if you mean acceleration than SAY acceleration.

But lets continue to play your game. The list you presented in the RX8 vs. RX7 thread show several cars and SUV’s that that never showed ¼ mile times better than about 15 seconds. In the 3 examples I provided in this thread, the RX8 showed 14.5 quarters. Yet you say that are “about as fast”, fair enough. But, you have gone on at length in threads about how a S2000 is definitively faster than a 8, even though the Motor Trend comparison I referred to showed both cars within 2 tenths of a second of each other year. You were even more definitive about the SRT4, I think the words you used were a RX8 “will NOT keep up with an SRT-4 unless they're driven by retarded limbless monkeys.” Yet again, the last test I saw of an SRT4 (last Sept. Car & Driver) showed a 14.3 second quarter, only 2 tenths better. So, how is .5 seconds “close” or “about the same” with slower cars than the 8, but a .2 second advantage is way faster?

See Ike, all 8 owners could have bought cheaper cars that are faster in a straight line. We don’t care man! I bet most S2000's and SRT4's do have faster acceleration in a straight line with the right driver. Again, I don’t care. But its the number of times that you present your “truth” and the inconsistencies in your stories that reveal you as an agitator, a troll, it couldn’t be more obvious. You got no credibility man.

I'd take is as a compliment. If people that don't own an 8 want to spend their free time on this site, I think it's saying that the people here are good ppl and the 8 must be a great car.

 

......or, those people have no life and spend all day trolling forums for various interests. I have no doubt that those members who own other vehicles also belong to and participate in forums for those vehicles......which means they are going back and forth between this forum, that forum and possibly others. Get a life people.......get away from the computer and go drive these cars you love!

 

That's baloney. You obviously care (a lot!) or else you wouldn't be following Ike around everywhere, telling him how much you don't care about the RX-8's performance.

This site seems to be worse than others when it comes to fanbois. Nobody is allowed to present any information that praises another car or criticizes the RX-8 without a fanboi jumping down his throat. Accept your car for what it is and realize that there are superior vehicles out there.

If the performance really doesn't bother you, then keep out of these threads. It's that easy.
