extra care?

How much extra care does it take to keep up an rx-8 compared to any other car? thanks

Top off engine oil periodically. Once a month, every few fillups, whatever works for you. That's about it.

I would add reving the crap out of it before it's *fully* warmed up as extra care.

I would recommend putting diesel in the gas tank for extra care.

Yes, aren't we all just so *cool* because we can dump on the new, uniformed guy.

Wesley:

It actually requires very little extra care, it's just that the couple things it does require are very important:

1) As sunilseru said, you have to keep on top of the oil level a little more than in other cars, but it's no big deal.

2) Be careful not to shut the engine off while it's still cold, it can cause flooding, which, in a rotary, is Bad(tm).

3) Get the engine up to redline (actually any high revs) while driving from time to time, it's actually good for it.

4) If you live anywhere where snow is an issue, make sure to get snow tires.

That's pretty much it. Pretty odious, huh?

Some sand in the gas tank too helps the marble sound.
