im lookin into buying an exhaust and CAI. Anybody have any sound clips of the borla, mazdaspeed or any other exhaust for the rx8. thanks

 

There are multiple flavors of sound clips in the Aftermarket Performance Modifications topic, under exhausts.

BTW, I've been looking for a RB clip at cruising/freeway speeds. Most folks just revv their exhausts from idle. Sounds cool, but I'm concerned about the irksom drone some exhausts put out. Anyone? And, yes...I've SEARCHED.

BTW, did you HAVE to jack the car up to put in the RB screens and duct? Sorry to hi-jack, but I saw it in your video and will be doing mine next week or so...

 

only the last clip there is with the turbo. you'll know cause of the bird chirping.

theres no NEED to jack up the car to install those things, but when your bumper is off, you can just drive up rhino ramps and it's easier to reach in and do the install. By easier, I mean maybe 5% easier.

 

With the BOV, even SWEETER'ER! Nice set up! Sounds like a friggin' bear choking a canary! LOL!

Go with the MS, you're not going to find a new Borla under $650, unless someone miraculously decides to sell their used Borla.

The video camera is in my car with the RB Exhaust. L8APEX has a really cool exhaust note (Custom Team Moon). His is the last one coming around me at the first of the video. Rumor is, I really like the sound of his exhaust, especially in a tunnel.
