Two out of the 3 times I've taken my car to the dealer I've seen it, but this time the I was standing outside and the tech flew right past me. lol! The look on his face was priceless... luckily I was in a good mood this afternoon.

If I ever saw a tech smoking my tires not only would I be furious, but the dealership would be buying me new rear tires.
I was always leery about leaving the car at the dealership and marked milage before/after. I saw a tech driving my car 'spirited' and just shrugged it off because it will be done regardless- I would just rather be the one doing it.
I used to say that getting the oil changed was cheaper pay to have it done but after catching them not really changing the oil filter, I will never have anything done to the car by a third party again unless I absolutely can't do it myself. Ever.
Since then I do it all except recalls and flashes.

I'd be prettyt pissed of if I caught them doing it unless I approved it.

my car had 8 miles or so on it after they fixed my wiring harness. They said they had to test it out to make sure it worked. Needless to say, I try not to visit the dealership more than needed.
I did turn down the boost controller before handing them the keys - but it's one button to put into high mode...

There was a valet, in Chicago, that would rip around in cars (including a RX8) in the parking garage. He made videos of this and posted them on YouTube. I believe there was enough details from the video that he was found and reported. People were giving him **** in the comments section. They eventually were all taken down.
