Yeah I almost mentioned that. But everyone screws it up so often, so why bother?

Software quality engineer here.

Yes, I think that my daily contact with aircraft engines had quite an influence. The rotary is the only car engine that has some abstract similarity with a jet engine (parts are turning instead of moving up and down and the whole thing has little weight - altough of course a turbo engine is something completely different). Also, my overall first test drive impression of the car was that it felt somehow equaled a jet fighter, especially its redline roar. And from a quality point of view, the car looked pretty good too (and still looks).

What engineering discipline were you thinking about studying? Don't know about those schools, but you should definitely make sure credits are transferable and that the school is accredited. Can't help you much more, sorry.

It is going on a lot in the past couple of years but to make it work over the long term you really do have to know what you are doing.
Mine all end up as renovations more than the traditional flip. They all end up with new plumbing, electrical, furnace, wallboard paint and more. I wish I could find a few to slap some lipstick & Rouge on and then sell but it never works that way. I haven't had much luck selling without a realtor so the value has to go up by more than 6% of the total cost just to cover the commission. The market is so “hot” right now that even really crappy falling down houses sell for way too much.

From your post, you are probably a Georgia resident. Georgia Tech is a good school and for you it is at a bargain price.

Being a mechanical engineer and reading anything technical about the rotary engine helped inspire confidence that this engine made sense. My job is Mass Properties, so I can appreciate weight, cg and inertia when designing a car or buying one. Go lightning yellow!!!

I love how everyone and their dog in the US calls themselves an "engineer". What an insult to the profession.

At least in Canada you can get sued by the CCPE (Canadian Council of Professional Engineers) if you call yourself an engineer and aren't.

Oh you Canadians and your crazy laws. This is how we makes ourselves feel important. Everything in America is a competition. If you want to start something really funny start talking about what college is the best -- bloodbath.

Anyways, I'm an Social Linguistics Communications Engineer. In short, I post on this forum all day long.

Gotta love Google Engineers too! It's funny how many of our office people think that they have solutions to engineering problems because they read an article from a search engine. I hate how they feel it is necessary to help me do my job.

I think it's one of the only ones that would count since they have been around so long, longer then us EE's anyway, and I'll allow it becasue I have always had a love for trains

On another thought, we have so many EE's around here yet we cant figure out a little computer...

Mechanical engineer that works in the automotive industry developing diesel engines. Rotary engines and diesel engines are my favourites. I have been a rotary fanatic since I purchased my 89 RX7. I currently own a "highly modified" 95 RX7 and my daily drive is a 97 MX6. My wife drives a 2001 Millenia S. What can I say, I love Mazdas.
