ive got an 05 rx8 and as i pulled into my gym the other day, i smelled coolant coming from my ac. so i shut the car off and look under my car and coolant is pouring out, and my car starts smoking for around 5 mins. well got it towed to the dealer and they said the engine fan stopped working, which overflowed the coolant so now it's in the shop..... atleast it's still under warranty and they're going to re-finish my rotors since they're rusted. anyone else had this problem happen to them!?!

 

Nope. Maybe you killed the fuse to the coolant fan.

 

My fan chewed on one of the rubber grommets that hold the airbox in place - they get pushed down into the fan area.

New fan motor under warranty, but still something to watch for.
