Engine auto turns off, after I turn it off

Hey guys.

The other day, after I turned my car off .. I opened the door to get out. After I closed the door and about to click the alarm, my engine started running. I was freaked out (thinking its alive )

Anyways, I had to put that key back in the ignition, and put in in the ON postion, and THEN the engine turned off.

its the engine fan... it'll turn on to cool off the engine until it deems it cool.... its a safety mech. on the car and nothing is wrong.

hit the gas to see if the engine is really on.

the engine fan can be quite loud. and you are supposed to leave it on, it cools the engine off.

I havent tried hitting the gas.

But it does sound like its the fan. Just that I thought it was odd that my car of totally off. And a few seconds later, the fan turned on.

Its a 6spd.

If it happens again, I'll try hitting the gas.

Thanks guys

Disregard my previous comments. The problem isn't with the car, but I do recommend you sell it, fast.
