My commute is 50 miles each way, 5 days a week. 500 miles a week = 2000 miles a month. 2000 miles a month = 24000 miles a year. And that doesn't even figure in driving around with friends, personal errands, etc.

I'm at 40k right now. I'll be around 100k in less than 2 1/2 years.
