lol

For some reason, every time I'm near or around a Prius in traffic I find my self revving as high as possible, making my car backfire or whatever to show I don't care about your effort to save the world with a Prius.

This sounds bad and I have no idea why I do it except maybe I got one too many dirty looks, like you mentioned, form these people. If you want to drive something like that I have no problem but don't look at me crazy like you are saving the world with your car cause it gets about two thirds the gas mileage my '88 VW Fox got back when I drove it in the '90's.

My now ex girlfriend made the mistake of making a comment to the effect of "Sometimes I think you would pick your car over me" and i simply responded "At least you know your place"... took her the next 5 years we were together to realize i wasnt kidding..... I'm no longer with her.. hehe

And yes, after all the compliments i get for my 8 they usually ask about MPG... and after i got sick of explaining the concept behind a rotary motor and all that crap. My usual responce is now "Its a sports car, i didnt buy it for its MPG"

^Must be nice.

Last time i calculated my monthly gas usage it was $400-500. I do at least 80 miles a weekday for my real job and at least 30 miles for my weekend job just to pay for the gas! I'm learning to accept the mpg but i can't help busting out the phone calculator to see how i did on my last tank.

If I had to commute that much I would not own this car.

First, he drives a turbo 8. Secondly, maybe he does a ton of miles.

I spend about $400/mth on gas for only about 2000kms (1200 miles). And my 8 is not turbo'd.

I've tracked the last 30,000 miles on my car (every single tank of gas) on an excel sheet.
Do I give a **** that my average is 17.7??? NOPE, having a blast doing it!

i came up from atlanta pacing my friend so i could draft him, premixed, and did 70 mph on the interstate. Never came out of 6th or got on the gas and i managed 19.? mpg on the highway, then the next tank of all city and normal spirited driving yielded 18 mpg so i feel it does not matter how much i drive it will still be around 18-19

there's little benefit when you're 75 feet back. try drafting 5 feet away at 70mph. on second thought, yeah.. please dont try that.

i've seen 8mpg. but as i said, i usually average around 20.

I do punch the throttle here and there but no I drive very responsibly. I have a clean driving record for a reason.

I bought the car 4months ago and I put 10,000km (6,000miles) on it already.
