we need a secret "handshake"

 

I think it might be kinda hard to do when your driving We could do morse code with the lights then when we'd stop do the handshake.

 

I used to flash my high beams at oncoming miatas, when I had mine. Most of the time they would do it back. With most 8 drivers around here though, it's a different story, sadly.

 

I wave to other rotaries, however really only 7s respond back. Although when I drove my 7 around, I would get waved at a lot from people in Rx8s and 7s.

 

How about put two hands together to make a triangle... err to signify the rotor head.

No, you should not wave.

When you spot another rotary the appropriate thing to do is push in your clutch pedal and rev like crazy.

 

When you see a rotary, flash your *****. Thats what needs to be done.

i agree with the handshake if we come across fellow 8ers we need to stop the vehicle get out of the car and do a fist pound that explodes and then shake hands and hug...wait scratch that haha...but anyways we need to work on that pull together as a community ya know it will be a fun project...HAHA jk jk

I want to wave when I see other 8s but wasn't sure if it was accepted practice and didn't want anyone to think I was loopy.

 

ok instead of waving...since that seems way out there to most people...and the handshake is kinda dangerous considering traffic conditions...

this is what we should do.

Its called the honk and wave(the other direction) this particular move requires alot of mental skill and hand eye cordination. my gf and i like to do this to anyone walking or funny people in funny cars. its really great

STEP BY STEP WALKTHROUGH

1. get in car
2. start car
3. put seat belt on...no one is too good for one of those
4. put car in gear and drive
5. drive
6. oh man stop light...lookie here some right beside me has an rx8...hmm they are looking at me but i cant determine if they actually know im a fellow 8er.
7. place hand on middle of steering wheel
8. apply pressure,honk,do it one more time, that should be exactly two honks
9. ok this part goes fast you just honked to get their attention. Well if they are on the right side of your car wave to the left side like you saw someone on that side.

Yes folks its that simple i think it will work out really good. tell all your friends about it too just make sure they have rx8s HA HA HA

 

Well NACer, sounds good, but sometimes honking that damn horn doesn't work. What I suggest is stop at walmart and buy a airhorn, pull up beside someone wave (no reply) honk (no reply) you gave all your warnings now blow the airhorn, if that doesn't make them jump through the roof I don't know what will.

 

And immediately following the airhorn, your passenger(s) immediately duck and hide their faces in shame >.>

 

even better get a mic a big speakerbox and mount on our cars like them rednecks do...well at least down here thats what the "cool" thing is.

and if the honking, and air horn doesn't work. you can just call em out on it " hey ***** yeah you in the rx8, i just waved at you"
