if i see clear corners, i wave. most of the 8s i see around here are ATs being driven by old ladies. they just think i'm creepy when i wave at them.

If the driver looks like they know what they are driving I wave or nod... but most of the time i see middle aged women driving i dont bother because they don't even look my way. Usually 7 owners know what they drive so i wave at all rotaries haha

I waved for years and got waves back, but recently the numbers have climbed and I havent been getting waves from most of them, so I have stopped.

In having an rx8 about a year and a half i've only seen 1 other person that could be thought of as a peer enthusiast... The rest don't seem to get it or have no idea that there is something to get. Otherwise.. I try to make some sort of contact with them despite that.

I wave if the person whose driving the other 8 doesn't seem completely oblivous to the fact that I'm there. Around here I see a lot of people driving rx8's who don't seem like car enthusiasts so I'd look like an idiot waving at a random person...

Yea so, even though there are no 8s in my town, I still wave or flash lights at any that cross my path. Why not? If they return the favor, then cool.

I use a slightly modified version of the Vette wave. This lets me be friendly and wave without going completely Ned Flanders.

I don't see many 8's around here. I've only seen 1 red one.

I wave if i can manage to get eye contact with them. I've come up behind an 8, gotten beside it, gotten ahead of it, then gotten back beside it again without so much as a glance.

very sad really.

I usually always lift a couple a fingers off the steering wheel in a kind of peace sign gesture. I've only ever gotten a couple waves back. Not to sound sexist or anything but I've noticed more and more women are driving RX8 and they're probably not enthusiasts so.

I wave when I see one, always. It is proper rotary-etiquette to acknowledge other rotaries on the road. we are definitely a "special" group

I grew up in small town kansas and it's habit to to lift a finger off the steering wheel and wave at everyone. When I meet an 8 I usually go w/ a whole hand instead of one finger. It's enough to be friendly but not have them asking "Why the F is that guy waving at me?"

I always do and usually get a wave back. I've made a friend with a Subway worker who has one just because of our 8's. If you don't wave back, you're an a_hole!!!

I wave, but after they don't wave I won't wave no more. I just can't believe how many are in my area (7+), but yet no one on this site it sucks.

Its kind of pointless for vetts to wave at each other now days (well at least where I'm from it is), because there are as many vetts around here as civics, altimas, and every other regular car.

Ugh, there are so many 8's in SF, and half of them are driven by women or people who dont give a crap about their car.

I also own a jeep wrangler...and with that community you wave. I think its law.

Because of that habit, I always wave at other 8 owners..but rarely get a wave back.
