Do you look back and stare?

Almost every time I walk away from it. It's just a damn fine looking car. I'll even sometimes walk away at different angles to see how it looks (from the front, back, front corner, etc) My wife laughs at me about it, but then again, I stare at her while she walks away too.

Haha... I knew I wasn't the only one.
I stare at the car all the time, to admire the car, and just like "strong bad", I make sure I am parked ok beside other cars to minimize the chance for door dings.
I also find I have to usually drive into a parking spot more than once to get the car positioned just right so that the car is as far away from the driver's side door of the next car, knowing that it is the door that must be used by the next car.
Obsessed... yes. Door dings... no... not yet (knocking many times on wood).

Yesterday me and my wife were working in the front yard and she says why dont you back the car out of the garage so I can look at it while I'm working out here. I have mastered the art of pushing the car out of the garage with one foot without starting it.

Guilty... any time I can see my car out the window, im always checking to make sure no other cars are parked next to me (still ding paranoid). Big parking lot, usually there is 2 Z's, a WRX or 2, at least 1 S2000, and a number of porches all creating a protective nice car barrier area in the far end of the lot .

I go and check it at least 5 times a night in my garage. I am even hesitant to put a car cover on it, because then I can't look at it. It just gives me great pleasure to look at it while I walk away or check on it regularly. I would also like anybody who went out and checked their car right after reading this thread. I did :D

You get UP to check your car? Ok, you win.
I was laughing when I started reading this thread because it's SO true. I do it every single time I walk away from the car. It makes me smile.
But, I don't get up for ANYTHING. I've even trained myself to not have to get out of bed to **** at night. I covet every minute of sleep.

Absolutely. When I park in a parking lot I always park where no one else is parked. Partly so no one comes near it and partly so I can see it in the distance as I walk back to it. I also look at it when it is in the garage and park right outside my office window.

I'm glad I'm not the only addicted person! Jon isn't even as mental about them as I am. Last Friday night, I left the middle of a comedy show just to go out in the parking lot and check on it. Funny thing, this wasn't the first time I had done that during an engagement we've gone to! :D

I think we all have the tendency to over-check our RX-8 when we're parking it, because everytime we experience our car we're inside the car. So staring at it when we're outside is sort of a chance for us to just gawk at it. The experience outside the car is as amazing as driving it.

I look at mine all the time. I commented to a friend the other day that the only thing I didn't like about driving it is that I couldn't look at it at the same time.

I do this all the time. I had a BIG :D on my face when I saw him do it too. Anyone else do a routine double take on their own 8?

This makes no sense. No RX8 owner with any real pride would EVER get OUT of the car. What's the point of that?:D
