Cool Decisions Decisions (I need help)

So I recently got a 2004 RX-8 (Grey Mica Galaxy color) and I want to start putting some new touches on it, where should I start? Im not really familiar with the Rotary world yet but, I have asperations to learn quickly and I would like to make the car go faster and look fast as well. I know this is going to take quite a bit of time to complete. I would like to start on the outside first to give me time to learn the insides BEFORE I start digging around. Also if I go Turbo WHERE should I buy from and what do I need for the complete add-on (exhaust, cooler, valves, every fine deatil. I also want to know what brands to purchase and where to buy from) It seems that most have some work done so I can only assume there was some trial and error. Thats my major concern, I don't want to overpay for crappy parts.

Thank (in advance) for all feedback and I look forward to learning from you all

take you time.

read this board, read all the posts you can in the exterior, interior, horsepower sections. See what others have done and let that give you ideas that you can make your own.

Also, please don't ever change the font in a post, it doesnt make you different.

For looks, you could get a body kit. The MazdaSpeed one is pretty popular. Then get some wider tires and lower the car.

If you're going with FI, make damn sure you have adequate cooling and don't over-do it. The engine in the 8 runs hot and is sensitive to heat.

For immediate (but small) HP gains, replace your exhaust system (header, mid-pipe, catback) and intake.

Check out racing beat.

I agree with Laythor, take your time and read.

There are alot of body kits available.

For the engine, to start I would do a BHR ignition and then a Cobb AP tuned by Mazdamaniac. I felt the largest gain from dropping weight on my flywheel and tuning. You might get 5hp out of doing exhaust and intake. Mazda did a pretty good job on that stuff already. I ran the RB stuff for awhile but have changed for personnal reasons.
