I banged a large hinged plastic garbage can lid into the gas tank area of my car a week or so ago and I can still see the mark when the sun hits the car just right. The body of the car seems very soft. I suspect that over time and with a few more waxes it will all buff out to nothing, but I was surprised. The garbage can was empty and tipped forward and back when the lid hit; there really wasn't much force.

Good news

Well, as fate would have it...the RX8s are beginning to slow in popularity with dealers - so for the first time, some cars are coming up for grabs in the port.

My dealer (Continental Motors) has been very cooperative and understanding throughout the process.

I was able to keep the same deal and have them snag a new-in-port car. With any luck, I will get the new, unspoiled RX8 I had intended to get in the first place.

Should have firm delivery date in the next day or two.

Sweet.
