Thanks for all the ideas guys. I'm starting my new list - lol. I like it even more each time I see it, I think it does grow on you a bit. And I really wish I had a better camera for a night shot, because it really looks great (to me) at night. All the black merges together better.
Hopefully no one will be shooting me when I have the blue led light kit (inside and out) installed too. Probably won't turn it on much, but I do like the look for shows and a little Fast & Furious look. Guess it's just the racer in me - lol.
Anyway, thank you again for all the comments and suggestions. They are all welcome, good and bad.
Cheers,
David

Sorry, the set-up was too good.
But like I said before, I like it. I agree with some clear corners though. I like seeing people's custom paint jobs. I'm not nuts about the black doors (because it looks like you just bought some Bril Black doors and stuck them on there - may have been cheaper ) But this is the 2nd or 3rd 8 I've seen with a different color roof and pillars and I really like it.

I don't buy Kool-Aid
Looks like someone hit your door and you got one from a junk yard. No joke, thats what I thought when I opened this thread. Good paint job but not into strips.

IMO...You need to loose anything remotely stock to have any hope pulling off this paint job. Also I'm thinking you carried the black too far down the door. Look at the pick below to see what I'm talking about.
Since you are starting a list here are few for you to add
Car is sitting way too high
Need much more aggressive wheels
Need side skirts
Paint the mirrors black
Lose the OE spoiler

dont hate it, dont love it.
A+ on execution IMO.
NEXT MODS IMHO:
MS Side skirts
Bye Bye amber corners
Bye Bye spoiler of anykind
Nice drop
Then I would LOVE it. Ignore the haters, you did a decent job.

Amber corners are going away.
Not sure about the spoiler, but something to think about.
"Nice drop" ? Not sure I followed that one.
I'm also trying to figure out how to get some black into the hood without going completely black or just painting the indentation or something. Need ideas there.
One thing for sure though, for those that don't like the doors, the roof, A and C pillars with a piano black B pillar applique would look great on another car.
I've got a custom trailer (extremely light) being made to tow my race bike to the track. It'll hold the bike, tool chest, and two spare tires. Plus another very small hitch accessory that you can just hook front tire of street bike into for when I take bike or car into shop. Other vehicle will already be there and I don't have to rent anything Probably going to mount license plate on a tilt mechanism to get behind it.

FWIW I love the R8, but I've said (to myself) since the first pictures came out that if I had the $ to buy one I'd take it right from the dealer to the body shop and have the inlet panel painted body color :D.
