also the first rx-8 accident reported on this forum was the one in philly where an idiot driving a sunligth silver way beyond his ability lost control of his car and ended up going airborn hitting another car and killing the father of three who was leaving a baseball game. thats what cursed the silvers

Its pretty much like this ...... If you suck as a common driver and own a 8 know matter what color, then your apt to be cursed anyway. Lets face it ,with the averages against the silver car of tragety, If your mind is not on driving ,your likely hood of having a accident is going to be great,know matter if your pushing a shopping cart outside Walmart or any other place.....

 

I don't have to agree to any such thing. Best color is Shinka black cherry. And the new Shinka orange is extremely hot too.

 

Well, silver cars are in more accidents since there are far more silver cars worldwide than any other color. Silver is the number one color at 34% of all cars being silver! Number two is white at around 13%. Red only accounts for about 6% of cars. Blues and greens account for like 3%. So, based on just the numbers alone, yes silvers cars are in more accidents. I read the color percentages in an article on MSNBC about a month ago.

 

i have to say shinka is pretty, but it just doesnt go with this car. every sports car look good on red they might be other ok colors. like shinka... but thats it. nothing special is just another dark color on the road.

 

Sorry, Krank, Shinka is sweet, but Red rocks. This is not an opinion. It is an established fact. Red is just betterest. Didn't you get the memo?

That's EXACTLY my problem with the red. EVERY sports car looks good in red. The red looks real nice, I admit it, but it is too obvious, too common. RX-8 is a unique car and deserves a more unique color. Thus red only makes it into my third-tier of colors (2nd tier would be the black and the yellow).

But, of course, chaqu'un a son gout. I'm not asking anyone to accept my color preferences, I'm simply contravening the assertion that everyone must accept red as the best. I do not and I will not.

 

Non-red RX-8 owners unite! We will not be crucified on a cross of red!!!

Silver is kind of a boring colour IMO, but I don't really care about colours when I buy used cars as long as it's not disgusting.
