I hate mine right now, mine skips a lot

 

in my old BB rx8 it would skip when i would go over the tiniest crack on the road, with my SS it still skips a lot. They are both 04 gt with bose sound system single cd. Ive gotn to the point of getting an aftermarket radio. Its embarrassing when it skips and i have my friends in the car. They tell me such a cool sports car with a sh** radio.

 

One could always try one of the cleaning discs to see if it helps. Those are pretty cheap.

6 disc changers come up for sale on here somewhat regularly. You could get one between 100-150 probably.

 

mine used to skip too,i bought a lens cleaner and it work like a charm,now only skips on really really deep bumps ... i read on the cleaner that the lens should be cleaned every 8 hours of play,and i assume the person before me never cleaned at all you should try and see if that helps,you can pick up one at any record store, now that i hooked up my ipod/iphone module im skip free !!!

Mine skips when I go over some decent sized bumps.
