I posted this in the tech garage but did not get any responses there. So I am reposting it here. Please advise.

I tried to open the coolant reservoir cap to add some coolant. I am able to get the cap to turn. It becomes loose, but does not come out. I tried pulling it quite hard, but looks like it has two small metal clips that hold the reservoir. Is there any trick to popping this open?

No trick, just be a man and pull that thing off.

 

It will turn abit, then you need to push down and turn it a bit more.

i tried it pretty hard the first time around. infact the whole car was shaking when I tried to yank it. just didn't want to break that piece of plastic and end up paying $$$ to fix it.
