Continental Xenon Headlights
Continental Xenon Headlights
Hello,
Not sure if this is the correct forum for this but i've just moved to Germany & i'm really struggling to find any Xenon continental headlights for my 2004 RX8. Can anyone help or does anyone have any for sale. Buying them from Mazda directly will cost me a fortune.
Thanks

There was a member that was taking his car from the continent to the UK with the opposite problem a little while ago. You two should get together.
Your other thread clarified it for me
.......you are moving from UK to Germany
Are the NA RHD headlights different than the Contenental Europe RHD ones ?
There are lots of North American headlights on E-bay usually

Left hand drive cars the lights shine more to the right as to not shine as much into the other drivers eyes. Right hand drive just the opposite. I would think this is only with the low beam on. Not the high beam.
I know that
I was just wondering why he didn't have them in the first place
The HID bulbs have quite a definite cutoff on the center side....I think it applies to both high and low beams

Thanks, any ideas who the member moving from Europe to UK was (just in case they still have the continental headlights). I had hoped I could use NA headlights but I don't think they qualify here for the road worthiness test. So far I can only source the headlights direct from Mazda which would cost 1000euro!
HOLY THREAD RESURRECTION, BATMAN!
Yes, sorry for this but I've done my homework and searched like a very searchy person. Sometimes it's alluded to that you can convert the beam pattern of the RHD (UK, Aus, and Japan) lights to a LHD European pattern.
Anybody know anything more about this? I don't have €1000 to spunk on new lights, but I'd like to register my car here in Germany.
FOR EXAMPLE: At my last job we had to convert an E46 CSL... after much researching it was only necessary to reverse one lever and the pattern was reversed! The BMW dealers had asked for €1500 euro, but in reality all you need was a screwdriver and an hour or two.
Anyway, thanks for reading. I look forward to your responses!
