Continental Sports Car Challenge 2012
The first race has started and there aren't any RX-8's in the ST class...anyone have any info as to why? Dempsey's racing an Aston Martin.
soooo I just realized the event that's on today was actually a race that happened January 26th before the Rolex 24 hours at Daytona and they should be running in the GS class, not the ST..my bad.

This was actually the Friday January 27, 2012 race. There were 2 RX8's in the ST class #66 Riley racing and #69 Pirate motorsports. I was there and I saw both of them getting towed to the pits halfway through the race. Before they went out they were running like 71 and 73 out of 81 cars and both were lapped in the first 5-10 laps.

yep,
seems that eric meyer was running the last competitive rx8s in the world challenge series last year.. and the rx8 was not very competitive..
the cars in the gt ranks are kinda doomed.. but sound so good..
