I did it, I bought one
I will tell you how I did it and why after I get plates on it, but there is a silver, dorito-powered sports car sitting out front.
I'll probably ask way more questions than normal, so, brace for that, and there is one user who will call me an idiot based off how I obtained this car, so be prepared for that fallout.
But I am glad I did what I did and I look forward to knowing more about you guys and RX8s.

RX8 Club’s recommended maintenance schedule, more comprehensive and proactive than Mazda’s schedule.
30,000 miles:
- Replace Ignition coils
- Replace Plug wires
- Replace Spark plugs
- Clean MAF (mass air flow sensor)
- Clean ESS (e-shaft sensor)
- Reset ESS profile
- Clean power steering connections
- Clean battery terminals and clamps
- Replace transmission fluid
- Replace coolant (Mazda FL-22 is highly recommended)
- Replace air filter
- Replace brake fluid (fluid in the brake lines AND the clutch line)
~$300 USD in parts if you shop smartly.
every 60,000:
...all 30,000, plus...
- Clean all chassis electrical grounding points
- Replace accessory belts
- Clean OMP lines
- Replace rear differential fluid
- Replace thermostat
- Clean / Straighten AC condenser fins
- Clean / Straighten oil cooler fins
- Inspect catalytic converter
- Clean / Inspect intake valving
- Consider / inspect all points in 90,000+ as well, many items fail early
~$130 USD in parts if you shop smartly.
90,000:
...all 30,000, plus any 60,000 not yet done, plus...
- Replace coolant bottle
- Replace radiator hoses
- Replace radiator
- Replace front O2 sensor
- Replace motor mounts
- Inspect clutch pedal assembly for flex / weld breaks
~$900 USD in parts if you shop smartly.
At 100k, anything original in the cooling system is really suspect and failure prone. It represents the biggest threat to your engine.

Welcome!
Welcome to the RX-8 world! Post some pics of your ride, and read, read, read. I am STILL reading 4 months after my purchase. Focus on all documented issues and maintenance the new member forum. Read the premix thread as well as some of the oil discussion threads to avoid asking flame worthy questions!
Rock On.

Okay, so this is odd
There seems to be an issue with actually getting messages from this site (even though it runs off the same code as a couple other sites I do get things from)
ANYWAY!
You guys wanted pictures, have some pictures!
Day 2 of ownership
mmmm, look at those sexy fender flares.
about 1200 miles in on a road trip. This car preformed admirably under its trial by fire.
About a month into owning it and it's character is showing, the transmission is being... well, you of all people know and the passenger highbeam is disconnected somewhere, but the engine is running like a champ and the car is extremely fun to tool around in. 20/10 3 thumbs up.
