Any way to know how much is left without disassembly?

My last manual had 100K miles plus on the original clutch

In general, no, not without taking it all apart. That's the reason for this poll...to get a general feel for how long *these* clutches seem to be lasting.

I've wished for a way to know how worn my clutch was on all of the 10+ M/T cars I've owned! I imagine some car, somewhere has a monitoring system. But probably not a car most of us could afford (I'm thinking something in six figures from Germany or Italy.)

Again in the name of preparing for long-term ownership, does anyone know how difficult it is to replace a clutch, if/when it does start to go? How expensive is the part, and how long does it take to do? And is it something I could do myself with some jacks and tools and whatnot? Thanks guys...

FYI, I'm at 50K miles, and it seems fine.
