MA Clutch a little stiff?

I was just wondering if anyone has/had a problem with a stiff clutch. Everyone who sits in my car says "wow, the clutch is really hard to push in". Is this a normal thing? Maybe I'll have to do more squats, cause after practicing stick shift, my leg was a little tired.

if you're comparing to cars like... the rsx, tC, etc... then it is a bit more stiff, but still not bad.
try the Z... now that's stiff -_-

I quite like the feel of the 8's clutch. It actually delivers alot of feel. I worked at Toyota last summer and every time I drove a tC or Yaris with a stick after getting out of my 8 I almost put the clutch pedal through the floor. Made me really appreciate the precision of my car.

Sports cars generally have stiffer clutches than other cars. The clutch on the 8 isn't that stiff compared to other sports cars.

Hmm I could swear that my old Matrix XRS had a stiffer clutch than the 8. Seating position was different though so maybe that explains it.

+1 on liking the 8's clutch though.

I drove an RSX one time and the clutch provided NO resistance. It was like a video game clutch - I could move through the full range of travel just by moving my ankle. I couldn't get a feel for when it was starting to engage, and since I couldn't feel it under my foot I never did figure out exactly how far to let my foot back before the clutch was fully released. That car was really annoying to drive.

Dear god, the clutch isn't that stiff if you have driven a newer Mustang GT. That thing is like pushing a brick wall.

I guess I've come from an ACT Stage II clutch, so I don't count

When I drive my bro's 97' Carerra 4S, that's when I think stiff clutch. That's a beefy clutch right there, but its great. Might be painful in stop and go rush hour traffic I suppose. I've driven cars with far looser clutches, but did not like the feel of it at all.

try having a 2000-2005 eclipse with the hydraulic clutch. You have to put it almost to the floor just to start it and they are not really adjustable. I love the way my rx8 clutch is, never had a better feeliing one befor. Never tried the Z but I plan on test driving the 370Z later this month and I will let you know what it is like

Does the clutch start smelling bad really easy and does it have a very small 'take-up' point for release? If so, you should take it to the dealer.
