Can someone post a pic?

they don't mention any reimbursement of a clutch bracket (i.e. from race roots)

they only mention replacing the assembly...

think i could get reimbursed for the clutch bracket and like one hour labour?

I guess the question(s) is:

What if you already got the bracket welded?

What if your already experiencing severe trans issues probably due to all the miles driven with the poor assembly?

Chances are they will tell me too bad you welded the unit so SOL.

Look up at the top of the clutch pedal where it mounts to the firewall.
You'll see a nut at the upper left side. Look for a crack/tear around that area.
If someone has a pic they can post, that would be awesome.

PICTURES!

https://www.rx8club.com/showpost.php...&postcount=113

I think there are more pictures that clearly show the broken area, but this should help in figuring out where to look. If you spend a little time down there and familiarize yourself, you should be able to spot it pretty quickly.

There's already a thread about this that's posted a few weeks ago. https://www.rx8club.com/rx-8-discussion-3/clutch-pedal-assembly-warranty-206583/

I received my clutch pedal assy warranty extension program letter today.
I gotta say, this is the first time I have ever received any notice that the warranty was going to be extended on anything I have ever purchased.

Read the third page of the letter in the attached "RX8 SSP 82" PDF below.

Basically all cars from April 10, 2003 - September 13, 2008 have the clutch pedal assembly warranty extended to 8 years, 100,000 miles. If you have already had the clutch pedal replaced, then you are eligible for a reimbursement (no mileage requirement listed for reimbursement).

I wonder if they will reimburse for the RaceRoots clutch pedal reinforcement? Or if I can claim the clutch pedal broke and wrecked my transmission?
If this is what you bought, you'll be reimbursed for it.

well yea, but think of it this way, even if they replace it, it will still break again anyway, so it is good that you have the reinforcement bracket. nothing to worry about.

so if this reimbursement is just for 04-09 cars does that mean that the factory fixed it for the 2010s? I still can't get an answer. Charles R. Hill has prolly written a million words on this subject alone but won't clarify this lol.
