Changing the RX8 radio display screen??

I wasnt really to sure about how to word the title lol. I was on youtube a couple of weeks ago looking at different custom headlights and something really caught my eye. When you start your car and look at your radio it says "mazda rx8" well this person changed it to "ammars rx8" im guessing thats his name but it was pretty cool. Does anyone know how to do that?

Yeah that's a track title, that's not the welcome screen that displays "Mazda RX-8" when you turn the key on. Would be cool to be able to change that, but I'm sure it's built into the firmware, I doubt you could change it without having a custom chip made.

only honda owners would have to worry about their "friends" doing something like that to their display.

I thought the Metra Kit was only to allow you to install an aftermarket sound system. It lets you program the display? That's pretty cool, can you make it say anything you want? How do you do it?

Try taking the stereo out and push in the faceplate all the way. That sort of thing happened to me before when installing an amp and when Kodi nox hitting a pothole. The faceplate itself has connections on it and if theres no contact it gets all f*cky.
