Can a new flash prevent detonation???

On my FI car, when I floor in 2nd or 3rd I get detonation. I was wondering if a new flash would possibly fix the issue, or is it a 50/50 deal....it could make it better or it could screw it up even more?

I understand new flashes are designed for NA cars...so I’m kinda hesitant in getting it done.

if you have a FI car and done a flash, please post your experience.

thanks!

I dont have FI for 8 but I think You need more tunning.

IF you have a good ECU, you dont really need to worry about "up-to-date" flash.

Im really not trying to sound like an ***, but I really think you should pick up a book and read about FI. Maximum Boost by Corky Bell is a really good book. I picked one up when I bought my Mazdaspeed Protege.

I'm glad your engine will fail soon and you can get a econobox with engineering you might understand, although probably not.
