Certified Gas Stations
I have heard this mentioned before, but did a search and got nothing.
I understand that some gas stations are "better" than others. I have often heard Shell being very good with gas. Any input on the other major chains? Exxon, Luk, Texaco, Sunoco, etc?

My uncle has a 500gal storage tank full of 101octane fuel. He lives in a town of 8 people 50 miles away from any real town. He is 94years old and drives a v10super charged dune buggy for uphill climb challenges. (also to deliver the mail, as he is the mail carrier there). It goes 0-90 in 6 seconds or so. (there are stearing breaks on the rear wheels cause the front ones hardly touch the ground).
Dude, if I live that long, I want to be like your uncle.
As for fuel, I shop at Wal*Mart. Never had a problem with quality, prices are very competetive, even without their "Support Globalization Shopping Card" (though I like the $0.03 discount that the card gives).
Here in IL, Wal*Mart's regular is 89, their mid is 91 and their premium is 93 with prices that match others tier-for-tier (as opposed to octane ratings). So, the 89 Octane there is usually the same price (before discount) as 87 elsewhere in town.

My 8 works fine on Walmart and BJ's gas. I do use Hess alot, its like .20$ cheaper pergallon then everything around me.
I think Shell was considered the best to use. I know some people that refuse to use any gas that isn't Shell.
I used from good gas to crackhead gas (Tom thumb gas)in my turbo civic and it was running strong after 150K miles.

I was using the MS gas, but my car kept freezing up.
I have been using Hess (and sometimes Sunoco) for so long w/my truck that I just continued doing so. Mostly b/c they import lower percentages of oil from the Mid.East compared to other companies. But I try to go w/shell now that I have a vehicle that makes gas qaulity important.
