Called Mazda this is what they have to say
so i made a thread about my clutch making a popping noise and i got reply that it is a sign that it mite break.....
I called 3 Mazda dealers today (i live in Canada BTW) they all say that is not a common issue and they haven't heard of the clutch breaking..... they said it mite be a common issue in the US because they make it different there?? is that true??
i am really pissed i don't know what to do......
plz help

I highly doubt the U.S. has a different clutch since mostly the car was assembled and built in Japan that makes no sense at all... I suggest going to www.finishlineperformance.com and finding the TSB about the unusual noise from the clutch and bring it to them.

I don't believe that there is a TSB about the breaking clutch peddle problem. I would also think the problem would be common with all left steer equipped cars.
I have seen pictures posted of the problem. Sorry, but I don't remember the name of the thread.
The problem is being investigated by the US government. If they find it to be a design problem, I'm sure that will prompt Canada to look into it also. If you have to replace the peddle on your own. Keep your receipt so when there is a recall, Mazda will reimburse you for the service.
