Blue Roof Trim Moldings?

The roof trim strips are starting to come off my Blue 8. There just cheap little plastic pieces. The ONLY ones I can find though are aftermarket faux carbon fiber or chrome ones. Why no blue?

check this amazon link

Amazon.com: rx8 roof trim moldings: Automotive

seems strange. They are fifty bucks too!

p.s. What is the technical term for this part?

Ignore monchie, buy the right part and you don't have to paint it.

Yikes! 70 bucks for each side. And you need to make sure you get the right Winning Blue. I seem to recall that some colors had the same name but actually varied between years.

I'm with Monchie's idea of painting it yourself - then you can start with ricer crap for a lot less money.

Paint matching is the hardest thing to do, a body shop that will paint your car has to mix correctly to get the color almost right. On top of that, your car has aged so the color has aged. Brand new winning blue looks different than aged winning blue. I know, i have winning blue.

wow, 70 bucks. faux carbon fiber ricer crap it is!!!!!!!!!!!!! mazda shoots itself in the foot a lot, no surprises on this. Mazda's biggest barrier to success has always been mazda. If they made this part cheaper and the passenger side airbag cover cheaper they could make some cash, and keep more of these cars on the road in better condition.

I see a lot of cars that have black hood trim moldings...just not this car.
