Best rpm to cruise at for mpg?

the first night i got my car i tryed to go for a top speed run
i got her to go 135 (i think it was around 8400rpm @ 5th)
before i ran out of space =p

Seriously, I've learned from experience that chasing the best gas mileage and lowest shift points will only gum up your Wankel. Rev the wee out of it regularly and smile all the way back to the gas station. Gas is cheaper than and engine.
