on a happy note: my salesman and the dealership staff have always been great. But, i feel sorry for how you were treated. However, the TL was a nice choice. It may not be as fun but it has alot going for it.

My salesperson WAS the manager at this place. And I tried talking to someone else that I think was a regular salesman, and he just 'yes'd me until i hung up with him and that was that.
And ... this is the only Mazda dealership in Massachusetts?

Agreed...
I'm going to be an A-Hole and say what no one else will tell you.
You knew that your lease was about up....
What if they didn't have any 8's in stock when you turned in yours?
It's called planning ahead. You should have made arrangements 30 days in advance.
Yes the salesman should have called you back but it sounds like he didn't
want to deal with you. If that's the case,
you should have spoken with a different salesperson or tried a different dealership.
In the end you're the one to blame for not getting a car you wanted.

Why didn't you just pay off the residual value on your lease?

Of all the accidental things that can happen in this world, "accidentally" allowing your lease to expire without having another car lined up seems very avoidable.

You had me feeling somewhat sorry for you until that last post. Sorry, but if you own your own business, and your vehicle is critical to your business, and you don't have something lined up and you let the dealer slide, then really, the responsibility is yours alone to get a new car. It's not really the dealer's fault that you bought a TL, no matter how badly the Mazda sales staff are at calling you back. That would be akin to the Acura sales staff for being evil and selling you a TL!

Dude, I'd stop talking while you're ahead. Every comment you make makes you look worse and worse.

This one makes you sound like someone who wants to sue McDonald's because eating greasy burgers every day made them fat and "IT"S NOT MY FAULT".

Please ...

honestly, i don't know how u can call the TL a crappy car. it's comfortable, responsive, loaded with ammenities, and easy to drive. the steering is not as detached as hondas were 10 years ago, but slowly becoming more similar to german handling. i've noticed that on the freeway there's some lag when trying to pass other cars. but, for the price, overall it's a really good value. it's not meant to be the type of car the RX-8 is...

Problem with sales person, call the manager...
Problem with manager, call the owner...

Usually a simple explanation like "Well I want to buy a car but haven't been called back..." works wonders, and results in someone's *** being kicked into high gear. This works especially well if it starts with "I'm ending my current lease and want another..." as dealers lease vehicles at full MSRP, so fairly profitable compared to someone walking in and chiseling them down in price.
