appearance package - is low ???

So that is what they mean by low ground clearance
Parked the new 8 too close to the front cement bumber in a parking space and yeap....put some new 'appearance ascents' on the lower front end trim lip.

Too bad they don't make a bumber trim piece for it like I have on the door jams.

Anyway, maybe no one will notice too much...

Well that sucks. As long as it didnt tear anything off you could always use touch up paint yeah?

I just installed the appearance package and I've been extra careful when parking. Although, I gotta say with the size of this car, it's not too hard

Anyway, hope it doesn't look too rough. A little touch up may be all you need.... maybe.

If it was a cement bumber in a parking space, I dont think you can use touch up paint. You may need to have a shop sand and repaint it

I never even drove all the way up to the cement bumper. I always cringed when I would look at someones lovely parking job and their car was maybe just a cm above the bumper or they were already scraping it. I cant imagine the ways some people treat their cars and the way they drive them. Why would you take such bad care of something you paid so much money for?

Because it's only an object and it's only money. An item to get you from point A to point B.

There are more valuable thing in life.

Wait until that you have a kid.

The front air dam is going to take some punishment whether it be from hitting curbs or just crap on the road. I find it's already pretty low (lower than any other car I've owned) and I'm hesitating on the MS kit although it's only a bit lower. At least the air dam isn't that expensive and could be replaced or fixed down the road. I expect some scratches and small chips and kind of consider them to be "war wounds". My car isn't a show car and I could never keep it pristine. Avoid road hazards as much as possible and beyond that ... not much you can do.

Except that in certain places for parking you are fined if you back in. I found that out the hard way.

yes, down very low so one would have to stop and look down in that area to see the chip marks from plastic contacting cement (cement won btw). Nothing broken other then my pride and it is just (dare he say it)...a car nice though it is.

Never been one to care much for the appearance package -
1. dont' care for the side part
2. on the silver color having color matched front/back lower won't matter to me
3. mixed feels about the rear spoiler, like how it adds to the over all look, like touching it when lifting/lowering the truck but don't carry much for the 'space' it takes in my rear view mirror.

Anyway, got it since that was what of left of the models I was interested in.

Lowers to me are always too low (yes I know that is why they call them lowers).

Life goes on and to reply to the 'why would you spend $$$ then allow that to happen...hell I'm old and failed to realize what I was about to hit and besides it is a pain to 'guess' how close one is too the front harazd that you cannot see well. I want one of those 'front end camera'

FWIW, the appearance package is barely half an inch lower.
