If you'd like the name of the carmax dealer, I can give it to you. I went to carmax to get a price on my intrepid and they asked what I was getting.

I told them an RX-8 and they went to check if they had any and they didnt. Then another dealer came in and said they had just bought one for 25k with the options i wanted, in the wrong color and they'd turn it around for 26k most likely. They called me on monday of this week to let me know they had the car and to ask if I was interested. I said no.
This car has just been entered into inventory in texas. I dont know what price they put on it, but they had offerred it to me for 26k.

Wow- and I'm not being obnoxious, I swear- but I work in the corporate office and I usually hear about every 8 we've got, because everyone knows I've got one, AND I've got an email alert out on them. Guess this one must have slipped through the cracks, because it's definitely not there now. Which Texas location are you talking about?

2004 M/T GT, Titanium grey w black/chaparral interior, 6-disc in-dash CD, Nav, rear spoiler, spare tire, front air dam, side & rear aero trim, and rotary emblems. It also has tinted windows, additional interior lighting, and fender strakes.

I got almost $5000 off sticker, so I'm very happy with this deal.

Read it and weep. It was a barely used RX-8. If you search on MelissaJax you will find the story. It would be a hard one to duplicate.

You can get a bit of better price with the S-Plan if you know a Ford employee that will register you. That price is typically a few $100 over "invoice".
