The main reason I put money down (only $500 bucks) in October was because my car was a special order. Nothing to fancy I simply wanted the navigation package (a must for me) with the touring package. The grand touring package didn’t really seem to offer a lot over the touring package and I didn’t feel like paying 2 grand for leather seats. Since I live in Phoenix all the heated options are really no use to me.
When I placed the order the 05’s where selling at about invoice. And it was only suppose to be a month and a half wait. Both myself and the dealer did a search and didn’t find anything that matched my specifications. Which essentially where:
Winning Blue
Navigation package
Touring Pkg
No Appearance package (didn’t feel like paying for that either)
I could have gotten one if I was willing to be flexible on color or options but I’m not. The way I see if if I am going to drop a wad of cash on a car I’m planning on keeping for the next 10 years I will get exactly what I want.
Having said all that I am going down to look at an 05 Winning blue GT this weekend. I don’t think it has the nav package which is a deal breaker for me. But I have been keeping my eyes open especially as the price of the 05’s keep dropping.

You don't see that many RX-8 In Puerto Rico. The thing here is that they are very expensive and the price seems to never drop. We don't have the Shinka edition. Instead we have The limited edition which is the Shinka edition but with a lot of sutf in it. For example The suspension, aero mirrors, mspeed rear skirt, side skirt, etc. List pirce is $42,000.00 They brought less than 10 cars of this kind.
Another thing is they sell 3 models: basic one which is the automatic with nothing not even the 18" rims, the automatic with the complete power package and the Super complete packege that is the manual one (what a crap).
I Don't know about you but mine had 6 recalls already. What a deal for a $40000.00 car hah?

stop flooding ur engines
i work at a mazda dealership and we have like 10 2005s just sitting here.
the earliest we know of any 2006s coming to america is january. u can order 2006s all day long till we are blue in the face but it will take months before you see them. i am shooting for late march before i see mine.....sigh
the reason why some people want to wait for the 2006's is because of the freshening. especially on the PCM side of things. the constant recalls and pcm reflashes are one of the reasons why they arent coming here yet. the wait will be worth it, even more so for the ones wanting an auto. whoever they may be, not me....

The sticky
Does not say much. All my local dealers have no RX8's. Go to Fla and they have some. Could we get a Mazda Rep. to post on this board. HA HA....... Tell us what is going on cause the 1-800-222-5500 advisors know nothing DUH.... You would at least expect production dates and a estimated delivery date's....

Exactly. It's a sticky guys, read it first. The reason it is locked is so people wont keep typing, "any updates, any updates?", or fill it with nonsense and rumors. What is listed in that sticky is all that is known.

Excuse me
Does it have production dates and delivery dates? Zoom I have high expectations from you. everything is not there. Esp. when my 2006 is going to be delivered.
Try Miami and Atlanta they have some 2005.

everythign that is known is there. they were supposed to start production a month ago. with deliveries possibly as early as the end of this month. but no one can tell me when production actually started or when the first shipments are expected. since that info is not yet available there is no update. when that info is available the sticky will be updated.
is that clearer? good
