Any ideas??

My RX-8 keeps giving me the low coolant light. I know what you are going to tell me and the answer is yes, there is coolant in the reservoir. I only get the light when i run a gear more than 2 mins. and after i press on the clutch, it goes out. Car not over heating but i am concerned that maybe the water pump is cavitating. Any one else having this problem? A fix maybe?

There are some threads on here about S1's having a faulty coolant sensor. I dont remember exactly but I think it was Mazurfer that did a little DIY on a fix.

I'm also having the problem - there are a number of threads on this forum regarding it. Some tried to fix and failed, some tried to fix and fixed, most end up buying a new sensor (~$100), some ignore it and check their coolant when they check their oil every other fill up (not recommended in the event you truly do lose a catastrophic amount of coolant and don't realize it). I'm going to attempt a fix once the weather turns; if that doesn't work I'll buy a new sensor.

If it bothers you enough, disconnect the sensor and the light turns off. That also means to be more proactive in checking your coolant level from now on.
