I'll probably also upgrade to an aftermarket stereo/GPS/mp3 system, which will also be better and cheaper than what was offered on the GTs. I'm also thinking about adding a remote starter, which would be nice in the winter if it also turns on the seat warmer. Still thinking the last one over ... don't want to be too gay.

#1 I didn't think the fog lights came with the performance package.

#2 Then the only difference between the sport w/performance package and the Touring is the moon-roof and BOSE system correct?

#3 does the Touring come with the power seat or is that only in the GT.

I figure perhaps I could find a Touring as well... as long as it doesn't have the power seat, I might be able to deal with the headroom

I'm only sure about #1. Yes, fog lights are part of the Sport package on earlier models and part of the Performance package on later models. (Not sure about the 09s.) BUT, just a note about the fog lights: they are purely decorative. I can't even tell if they're on or not from inside the car.

i actually disagree with robrecht on the decorativeness (is that a word?) of the fog lights. normally i don't see them at all and it doesn't make a difference but when it is foggy and i hit them, they definitely made a difference (not trying to be a wise ***). i don't have them now that i have changed out to the shine AB front and don't really find myself building a mounting bracket so they aren't a necessity but more of a nice-to-have like the other options.

as for touring over sport, it also comes with audio-link (useless if you ask me) and auto-dimming mirrors (also useless if you ask me). grand touring adds the leather, power seats, heated seats, and heated mirrors. so touring does not have power seats and should suit you just fine.

Can you get brighter bulbs without redoing the whole electrical system? Or just having yellow bulbs makes a big difference?

Being the owner of both a 2005 Touring and Sport versions , the sport had 18" wheels, fogs, traction control, HID's, and a full apperance package.
The touring has all the same options plus moonroof, auto mirror, and Bose. no apperance package.
Many options are differient between years, how the dealer ordered the car, and what the buyer wanted.
I bought my Touring ver. for the moonroof and Winning blue color, although the sport in velo Red was badass!!

1) Front Air dam
2) Front splash guards
3) side aero flares
4) rear aero flares

You do not get the rear splash guards with the appearance package

I am working with a supplier that will give me all the above AND include the rear spoiler which is not in the appearance package factory OEM and Pre Painted (!) in my color for

$450.00 shipped. I thought that was a hell of a deal.. They come with all instructions, hardware and templates needed.

Now all I need to buy are nerves to drill into a brand new car!

Cogs, how about sharing the name of that supplier for the unwashed? That's a nice deal.
