Am I the only one that thinks...
bmw did this for their z3 m cars. looks really hot in blue black. it was actually my other option when getting my 8.
this may be custom though. i've never seen a z3 in this color.

Although my 8 is a stormy blue 8, I have had the black and blue combo custom made and fitted onto my car
...heres a couple of piks and the link to the thread i created...had black leather pack delivered and then had it stripped 
by a professional certifed upholsterer thru mazda, who then added the custom darker black and blue combination....oooh and anything is possible

i have a black mazda mx3, and i love the winning blue colour, so my 8 is a winning blue.
i ended up buying blue/black seat covers for the mx3(az3 jap import) and painted the front door cards with blue fabric paint.
looks great, so will save up and get the seats front and rear done in blue black leather and the door cards etc. i like the black leather on my winning blue, but must admit the blue door cards seats and steering wheel look great as above pics show.
i dunno why mazda stopped at red/orange/brown. i have seen pics of yellow rx8's with yellow/black interior, looks like a buzzy bee mind, but was cool.
i also see some sunlight silvers have red/black leather which does not look right to me.
yes mazda should have made blue/black interior also.
