Unhappy Am I driving like a puff?

I have only had the DSC light come on one time and that was during a snowstorm. Do most of you light up the DSC daily. I think I am going around the turns fast but maybe it just seems that way.

i have no idea i usually turn it off (unless its raining), and it never feels like im losing control, so i wouldnt be surprised if it only lights once or twice while in spirited driving

Fifteen minutes ago I virtually slided 100° around the corner with DSC on while turning left from the stand ... from asphalt to wet cobblestone mixed with streetcar tracks.

Since I had impressive wheelspin I guess the light was on ... but the car was easy to catch, no worries. I just didn't know it can have so much wheelspin with DSC on after all.

The light comes on? Who knew? Those are the times I'm LEAST likely to be looking at the dashboard. :p

I've noticed it go on one time in a very hard turn. It's not easy to notice though if your eyes are where they should be.

Exactly. I leave the DSC/TCS on 99% of the time and couldn't tell if the light has ever come on regardless of wheelspin or sliding. I'm sure as heck not looking at the dash.

I've had it come on in the rain a couple times. The light kind of lingers for a second after it does its thing, so it caught my eye.

It's gone on when I was speeding up while going over rail road tracks.

I see mine several times a week - usually in the same spot on the way to work- It's a right turn after a stop sign- I use that stretch of road to check my indicator light for DSC and clean off my plugs and check my rev limiter beep - all a part of routine maintanence : )

sounds weird. you don't look at the dash, but can you not hear or feel the dsc/tcs working? when I'm sliding through a corner I can hear the brakes and the wheels struggling to find traction and the car slowing down a bit I think my rear brake pads are gonna be toast very soon :p

Excellent post. I also have a corner where I clean off the plugs and check that the rev limiter beep is working. Mine's a left hand corner, no stop sign, they have a yield, take it in both 1st and 2nd. I see the dsc about 10% of the time as I am still learning the limits.

I light up DSC at the entrance to my apartment complex, where there is a slight bump that lifts the tires off the ground.

I've also lit the lamp taking a turn on low traction bricks.

If you have to ask this question, you obviously need to leave it ON!

Never felt the DSC or TCS because THEY WERE NOT WORKING!! Dead ABS module was diagnosed and replaced last week. Posted in Tech Garage under power steering failure.
