All Motor Build

So a while back be fore i went over seas for the second time, the 8 started giving me issues, i asked for soome help here only b/c i was still new to rotorys but not mechanics. So the issues where that at high RMPs heavy smoke out the tail and wouldnt start when hot. Well i had a blown apex seal. to the point combustion was going in to the crank case, up the oil fill neck and back into the CAI. Well about a couple of months ago when i was home on my 2 week leave i ripped the motor out. Found out i had a "stage 1" clutch in the car. a mod i didnt know about. so i got ahold of Rob at pineapple racing and had a good talk with him and sent the motor to him. they have none awsome work and really good guys that will deff go out of the way to help you.

here are 2 pics of the damage

Performance rebuild, RX8 motor. Replaced damaged plate/rotor.
Replaced side seals and custom fit special "cut to fit" seals.
Replaced side/corner seal/ cut off seal/oil control springs. Replaced
oil control o rings/ft.& rr. main seals, pilot bearng/seal. Stage 2 oil modifications, Large street porting-custom porting for turbo application. Heavy duty water seals Ceramic apex seals w/ coated springs. Is what they did to the motor. Here is the after pics

While i was still over seas i fig i would buy alot of the other things i wanted to do to it

EBC rotors front and back

Tein type flex coil overs w/ EDFC

EBC yellow stuff pads

ACT Prolight flywheel

I have a few other odds and ends in the mail and still need to do, Cobb tunner is here brake lines and clutch line are on the way, and still looking to fined the right "stage 2" clutch. What i do have fro parts already befor this build was RB header, super cat, brola cat back, UDP, AEM CAI, and BHR coils. So i have started the build yesterday, and hope to have the car up and running soon.

No that i did not get any of. By the way has anybody had issues using EBC USR 7171 rotors for there 8. i ran in to a huge issue. The rotors where slightly smaller the the ones on the car now diamiter wise. it wasnt even vented like its supost to be and the holes for the 2 locking screws didnt even line up. and to top it all off one of the rotors in the center was cracked and shaped wrong so that the cracks ran from on stud hole to the next all the way around.

Now on the good side of all this i did contact who i bought them from and they are getting replaced with no issues or questions asked. so now im waiting for that to come in so i can continue this hoplfully no more issues

LOL the header looks good but i havent had it on the car yet. so i couldnt tell ya. as for the turbo, dont want one. what i do with the car i perfer a super charger, plus i love SC more than turbos. and this snow storm we just got put a nice hold on the build anyways. so i will have to wait for the weekend to continue the build
