Storing the 8 for a year?

I am leaving soon for Afghanistan and am wondering what the best option is.
Putting the car on blocks, covered and on a trickle charge or is it better to leave it out and have my wife run it to full operating temps and shut it off and if I am lucky maybe dive it once a month (she wont move our youngest car seat back and forth). Some of my concerns are if it sits and rarely or never runs if it will do any long term damage to the seals etc. Any of you that have stored a rotatory for a very long period your advice would be appreciated.
