Alarm flashers not working right?

Alarm flashers not working right?
Searched the threads and found nothing on this. Yes, my trunk's closed. The hood, the doors, everything. Even the glove box.
My lights flash the first time I hit the button (either lock or unlock) but not the second. On the second unlock push, I hear the other doors unlocking, no flash. On the second lock push, I hear that balsted horn, still no flash. The manual says you should get a flash on the second click. My Wife's 6 flashes every time; second, third, sisteenth click. I gotta think the 8 's alarm system is pretty similar (if not identical)
Is it just me? Shouldn't you get a flash on every lock/unlock push on the fob ?
Off topic question: Could this car possibly be any finer?
