AIr pump - What does it do ?
Had my RX for three months now and loving it - Trying to learn as much as I can and this forum has been really helpful - My question is in two parts - The air pump what does it do and secondly on one side of the engine is the fuse box (On left) but there is another box beside the battery (on the right) whats it's purpose

1.) The air pump is used to heat up the catalytic converter faster for emissions during start-up.
2.) I'll have to go see what box you are talking about. You are probably talking about the PCM as MM just pointed out!
