Hi everyone,

So as the topic states. Our Bose Audio is suppose to have 9 speakers? I count two in the rear, two in the doors, two tweeters.......and then the one in the center of the dashboard........2+2+2+1= 7...speakers.....where exactly are the other two that make up 9 speakers in the RX-8?

Might sound like a dumb question. are there two hidden that I might not be able to see and count right away?? Also is the speaker on our dashboard used for audiopilot?? Is there any other reason why the dashboard has a speaker in there?? Anyways, any help would be greatly appreciated. I apologize if it might seem like a real simple question. Thanks people!

the rear speakers are paired with tweeters right next to each of them.

Rumboo is correct about the tweeters, they're little guys that you can't even see unless you take off the rear panel. I don't know if I have pics of the originals but here's the Infinity's I replaced them with:

HMM....Awesome! Thanks for help guys. Really appreciated it. Thought for a sec i was losing my mind or that Mazda advertised 9 but only 7. Thanks for the link Jedi. That will come in handy.

hehe, I'm sure we can all remember the time that Mazda advertised a number which turned out to be lower in reality..
